The hospitality industry is full of diverse career paths, and highly-qualified chefs and managers are sought after worldwide. At CIC, we offer three levels of qualifications for students interested in developing skills that will lead to careers in the exciting and fast-paced world of commercial kitchens and hospitality management. Students will graduate their qualifications with a passion for cooking, a love of food and the necessary theoretical and practical knowledge and skills.

Qualifications available:

  • Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (092306J)
  • Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery (092307G)
  • Diploma of Hospitality (090995F)

These are all offered exclusively at our Perth campus.

What can students expect?

At CIC, students will gain practical experience in commercial kitchens and the theoretical knowledge they need to be successful in this exciting global industry. With massive employment demand within Australia for talented chefs, a lot of students have found themselves employed within the industry before they even graduate!

Students can also expect:

  • a new knife kit and full uniform, provided to every student enrolled in the course
  • to learn from trainers with industry experience.
  • to develop a wide-range of cookery skills.

Entry requirements:

  • For the Certificate III in Commercial Cookery and Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery qualifications: Completion of Year 11 (or its equivalent) and IELTS 5.5 (or equivalent)
  • For the Diploma of Hospitality program: Completion of Year 12 (or its equivalent) and IELTS 5.5 (or its equivalent)
