The Certificate III in Community Services Work (CHC30108) and Diploma of Community Services Work (CHC50608) provide a career pathway intoa range of community service roles.

Qualification & Recognition

On successful completion students are eligible to receive the Certificate III in Community Services Work (CHC30108) and Diploma of Community Services Work (CHC50608)depending on the mode of study.

Recognition of Prior Learning and Credit Transfer

Students may be able to shorten the length of their chosen course by measuring skills acquired through work, life experiences or qualifications obtained from formal studies or training.  AQF Qualifications and Statements of Attainment issued by another registered training organisation are recognised by Cambridge International College.

Assessment

Assessment may be a combination of written and online assessments, tests, examinations, on the job learning and practical application projects.

Career Opportunities

Graduates of Certificate III in Community Services Work are qualified to work as a community car worker, juvenile justice officer and residential support worker. Those who go on to Diploma of Community Services Work are qualified to obtain work at a higher level including Case Worker, Coordinator and Social Welfare Worker.

Course Structure

The Certificate III in Community Services Work is delivered over two terms for a total duration of 26 weeks, including 72 hours of field placement.  The Diploma of Community Services Work is delivered over six terms for total duration of 76 weeks, which includes two terms of work based training.
